THE POSITION

Together we will be responsible for the overall life cycle of the design and operation of our core network infrastructure, servers, backup storage clusters, virtualization nodes, high profile & heavy loaded web apps and many more exciting TCP/IP things.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of system administration experience in a diverse environment involving Linux/Unix systems
• Knowledge of OpenStack
• Good knowledge of at least one scripting language
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networks
• Knowledge of system security techniques
• System performance and tuning
• Ability to carry cell phone, work outside regular business hours and be available remotely during an emergency with company provided remote access means
• Knowledge in server virtualization and virtual desktop technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build solid working relationships with people of diverse personalities and professional backgrounds, with a strong focus on customer service

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate and lead the building processes, procedures, and documentation for infrastructure deployments and operational support of our own private cloud service
• Use the ticketing system to document requests, track changes, and explain resolutions
• Collaborate mainly with the web development team members additionally with other company teams
• Assists manager with designing and implementing short and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements
• Provide technical and career development mentoring and guidance to junior staff
